Guebukanmonyet, I think the other reason, people in Indonesia often misinterpret the meaning of "reformasi" and democracy which they think they can act as free as possible without considering other parties. Thanks for your comment.

Mmmh, yes I agree with you guys. It's a shame what the companies (NASA & HASI) did to blame Nike for this condition. And now the demonstration done by the workers has caused a bad PR for Indonesia. That is the reason why many companies choose to build plants in China and Vietnam rather than in Indonesia, because workers in those two countries never demonstrate. But in Indonesia it seems that our workers manipulated by politics have a high tendency to demonstrate a lot which causes an unstable condition for business people.

Rusdy and Adhirock, you presented interesting views.

Rusdy, probably they did not realize they just mocked their investor. Once there was a mockery precedent, and it will tend to be repeated. Finally, I am afraid, it will become our culture. For sure, it is hard to deal with this kind of culture. So, before it really gets crystallized, it's better for the respective parties do something.

Adhirock, all parties need to realize about domino effect like what you said. As a dedicated citizen, the owner of 14,000 employee company must know the consequence of her action. She needs really to fulfill her obligations (Did she?), then she can demand her rights.

We obviously want to see Indonesia as a country where investors, host government, employers, and employees cooperate each other to achieve win win situation for all.

(tukang ojek gagal setoran dah...)

It is sad that Indonesia's general public never learn from their mistakes. In the past, Indonesia has lost appeal from the big giant semiconductor manufacturers because of the same issue, so they went to Malaysia instead.

Again and again, instead of competing to be the best, Indonesia just mock their investors. Oh well, at least Indonesia good in one thing, mockery!
